Workshops desinged for teams, leaders, and organizations to kill complacency.

Because most organizations don’t have an information problem. They have a thinking problem.

What makes these workshops different?

With tight deadlines and the rise of content that’s automated, templated, and optimized for algorithms, it’s easy for people and teams to run on autopilot.

Over time, “good enough” becomes the standard. Curiosity fades. Risk-taking disappears. Creativity gets replaced with repetition. That’s the real danger of complacency.

Through interactive workshops on creativity, leadership, communication, innovation, and human behaviour, I help teams challenge assumptions, think more clearly, and unlock better ideas together.

No generic keynotes. No corporate buzzwords. Just practical, engaging experiences people actually remember — and use.

Think Smith workshops are designed to wake people back up: to reignite curiosity, rebuild creative confidence, and help teams rediscover the energy that happens when people start thinking differently again.

Core workshops for creative teams.

Think Smith workshops aren't another lecture. They're energy; a spark. They're designed to help teams get the creative juices flowing reigniting your team's creative passion so they can better work together.

So, let’s get to know yourself!

Book this 60-minute workshop/conference session, and start creating a profile ecosystem that reflects who you are at all career stages.

This workshop helps:
  • Students looking to start in the industry.
  • Creatives negotiating a career shift or job search.
  • Established professionals wondering "what's next".
  • Teams facing a change or burnout.

Everything But the Résumé

Layoffs. Burnout. Being “aged out”. Maybe you’re just quietly disillusioned by work that no longer lights you up. When creatives hit this crossroads, the instinctive reaction is almost always the same: “I guess it’s time to update my résumé”.

But here’s the truth, that’s the last thing you should be doing. In a world that’s increasingly automated, templated and optimized for algorithms, your résumé won’t capture what truly sets you apart: your creative mind, lived experience and personal spark. And while a polished website is great, it’s not the starting point either.

Your résumé is the least interesting thing about you, it can only list what you've done, not how you think, what you value, or what your value is. And you can't promote yourself until you know yourself.

This workshop confronts the hard truths:

  • You'll be guided through the deep, sometimes uncomfortable work of figuring out who you are and what you want.
  • It's designed to help you reflect and reframe an intentional approach to your self-promotion.

Creatives leave with:

  • Clarity about their professional identity and how to articulate their value.
  • A strategy for building an effective profile ecosystem.
  • Practical guidance to help build real career momentum.

Still not sure?

Here are some frequently asked qauestions. If you’ve got a question that isn’t answered here, feel free to reach out.

What kind of workshops does Think Smith offer?

Think Smith workshops focus on creativity, leadership, communication, innovation, and confidence. Some workshops are designed specifically for creative teams, while others are built for broader organizational audiences looking to improve how people think, collaborate, and communicate.

Who are these workshops for?

Think Smith workshops are designed for teams, leaders, organizations, conferences, agencies, in-house marketing and design departments, educators, and anyone looking to challenge complacency and think more creatively. Sessions are especially valuable for groups navigating change, burnout, creative fatigue, communication challenges, or a need for fresh thinking.

Are these workshops customizable?

Absolutely. Every organization is different, and workshops can be tailored to your audience, goals, industry, and challenges. Some clients choose existing workshop topics, while others work with me to build a completely custom experience from the ground up.

Are these workshops keynote presentations or interactive sessions?

Both—but interaction is always part of the experience. Think Smith workshops are designed to get people engaged, thinking, reflecting, discussing, and participating rather than passively sitting through a lecture.

Where do the workshops take place?

Workshops can be delivered both virtually and in person depending on your needs, audience, and location.

How long are the workshops?

It depends on your team’s needs and the depth of the topic. Core sessions can run as a high-impact half-day intensive (3 hours) or a comprehensive full-day experience (6 hours). The Everything But the Résumé workshop is 60 minutes, and the Wow, How, Now workshop runs 90 minutes. I can also adapt specific topics into focused 45–90 minute masterclasses for conferences, leadership events, or corporate teams.

What size groups do you work with?

Workshops can be adapted for small leadership teams, creative departments, classrooms, conference audiences, and larger organizations. The format and level of interaction are adjusted based on the size and needs of the group.

Are your workshops appropriate for non-creatives?

Absolutely. Creativity is not limited to designers or artists. Many Think Smith workshops are designed to help all kinds of teams think more clearly, communicate more effectively, solve problems more creatively, and navigate uncertainty with greater confidence.

What makes Think Smith workshops different?

Most workshops focus on delivering information. Think Smith workshops are designed to challenge assumptions, spark better conversations, and help people reconnect with the creative edge that makes their work stand out. The goal isn’t just inspiration for a day—it’s creating lasting shifts in how people think, communicate, and approach their work.

Hey, I'm Rob!

Founder of Think Smith.

Throughout my 30 years in the creative industry, I’ve worked in-house, inside government, at design studios, and as the founder of two successful agencies. I’ve led teams, built brands, taught the next generation of creatives, and helped people reconnect with the work that excites them again.

Creative people weren’t meant to figure it out alone.

When you’re isolated, it’s easy to start doubting your creativity, second-guessing your instincts, and falling back on what feels safe. Over time, that disconnect can dull the very thing that makes your work stand out. The only thing that will truly separate you isn’t your tools. It’s you.

Through 1-on-1 coaching and Think Tank group coaching, I help creatives reconnect with their “why,” rebuild creative confidence, and sharpen the thinking that leads to better, more original work. Because standing out doesn’t come from following trends. It comes from developing a creative edge that algorithms can’t replicate.
