You’ve spent a career building value for everyone else.
It’s time to build your legacy.
Technology is making the industry compliant, passive, and tragically competent. But algorithm-driven speed can never replicate what you earned the hard way: experience, empathy, and bulletproof judgment.
Think Legacy is the premier executive mentorship program designed to help senior creative directors, agency owners, and design veterans ready to build what comes next.
*Application gated. Limited capacity.
Ageism. AI. Career Ceilings.
These are only threats if you keep playing someone else's game.
For 15, 20, or 30+ years, you’ve been the invisible force behind client success. You’ve built pitch decks, steered agency pivots, led teams through crises, and delivered massive commercial exits.
And yet, most creative veterans leave the industry with nothing more than a portfolio of work they don’t own and NDA-restricted case studies.
This is about turning your lived experience into an enduring asset. A book. A course. A signature framework. A keynote. Your IP.
Not a loose mastermind. A structured IP incubator.
Think Legacy is a structured coaching program that helps established creatives turn decades of experience into published intellectual property: a titled, finished piece of work with your name on it.
It isn't another "grow your agency" program. That lane is crowded, and it's about margins and tools. This one is about authorship.
Think Legacy is built more like a semester than a seminar. Because meaningful work takes time. Robert draws on 20+ years of teaching. You work through what's actually in the way, with discussion, peer review and a clear finish line: your capstone.
Your legacy project might become:
A Book
A Course
A Signature Framework
A Keynote or Body of Thought Leadership
The format matters less than the outcome:
Your best thinking stops living exclusively inside client deliverables and starts existing for you.
*Application gated. Limited capacity.
Think Legacy isn’t for everyone.
And that's intentional.
This program probably isn't for you if you're:
Think Smith still has plenty to offer you, but Think Legacy is for experienced creatives who have something to say and are ready to do something about it.
For the established creative professional.
Think Legacy is designed specifically for established creative professionals who have already built a substantial career and are asking, “What's next?”
You don't need to have the finished idea.
You just need to have something worth saying and the willingness to do the work.
If that's you, let's talk.
*Application gated. Limited capacity.
You’ll walk away with:
- A clear, named framework drawn from your own experience
- A fully outlined legacy project, or a finished capstone, depending on your path
- A plan for where it lives: book, course, keynote or something else
- A small group of senior peers who will challenge your thinking and read your drafts
- The confidence to say "this is mine" and put it out there
Two ways to start.
The Sprint
The Sprint is an intensive four-week engagement designed to identify your strongest opportunity and develop a complete outline for the project.
You'll leave with clarity around:
- What your core idea is.
- Who it's for.
- What makes your thinking differen
- What format makes the most sense.
- What the finished project could look like.
- A clear roadmap for building it.
*Application gated. Limited capacity.
The Build
Over twelve weeks, you'll take your idea from “I've been thinking about this for years” to a defined, developed piece of intellectual property.
The Build includes:
- Biweekly 1:1 coaching with Robert
Focused time to work through your specific project, challenges, decisions, and next steps. - Biweekly group sessions
Structured discussion, peer feedback, accountability, and the perspective that comes from working alongside other experienced creatives. - Private Think Legacy Community
A dedicated space for questions, discussion, resources, and keeping the work moving between sessions. - Resource library
Practical tools, references, frameworks, and resources to support your project. - A finished capstone
The goal is a named, developed piece of intellectual property you can continue building, publishing, teaching, presenting, or monetizing.
Because it is remarkably easy to spend another year thinking about the thing you're going to do. Think Legacy is designed to make sure you actually do it.
*The four-week fit guarantee*
If, after the first month, you decide Think Legacy isn't the right fit for you, the remaining $6,000 will be refunded.
No awkward conversation. No trying to convince you to stay. The goal is to build something worthwhile together. That only works if the fit is right.
*Application gated. Limited capacity.
I've spent most of my career building value for other people.
I've spent close to 40 years in the creative industry. I've worked in corporations and a government department. I've run design studios. I've founded two agencies. I've led teams, built brands, taught emerging creatives, coached professionals, written books, and watched the industry reinvent itself more than once.
I've also spent years turning experience into frameworks, lessons, stories, and ideas.
Think Legacy came as the result of realizing something: A lot of experienced creatives are sitting on the same kind of knowledge. They just haven't figured out what to do with it yet.
I know what it's like to build something from experience. I also know what it's like to reach the point where the question changes from:
“What can I do?”
to:
“What do I want to leave behind?”
That's the conversation Think Legacy is built around. I'm not here to tell you what your legacy should be.
I'm here to help you figure it out. Let’s talk about your idea

Some frequently asked questions.
What is Think Legacy?
Think Legacy is an executive-level mentorship program and IP incubator created by Robert Smith (Think Smith). It is designed specifically for senior creative directors, design agency owners, and veteran communicators to extract their decades of experience and convert it into published intellectual property—such as a book, course, signature framework, or keynote.
Who is eligible for the Think Legacy program?
Think Legacy is for established creatives with significant client experience who want to build something under their own name. It isn't designed for early-career professionals.
Why does Think Legacy focus on experienced creatives?
Because experience changes the equation. Someone with 15, 20, or 30 years in the industry has accumulated knowledge that can't be learned from a tutorial or generated by a prompt. The challenge is often not acquiring more information. It's recognizing the value in what you already know and figuring out how to turn it into something useful.
Is Think Legacy an executive coaching program?
Yes. Think Legacy combines executive coaching, structured project development, peer discussion, accountability, and mentorship specifically for experienced creative professionals. It is not traditional business coaching focused primarily on revenue, scaling, or operational efficiency. The focus is on helping you identify, articulate, develop, and build your own intellectual property and body of thought.
Is Think Legacy a mastermind?
Not really. There is a group component, but Think Legacy isn't built around networking or simply getting a group of successful people into the same room. The group work exists because experienced creatives benefit from thoughtful critique, different perspectives, and accountability. The centre of the program is still your thinking and your project.
How is Think Legacy different from typical agency coaching programs?
Most agency coaching programs focus on short-term tactics like agency operations, software tools, and profit margins. Think Legacy focuses on intellectual property and career longevity. It uses a structured academic framework—similar to a university term—combining 1:1 strategy, peer critique, and a finished, published deliverable.
How much does Think Legacy cost?
The 4-week Legacy Sprint is $4,000 USD, and the 12-week Legacy Build is $10,000 USD.
What is the difference between the Sprint and the Build?
The Sprint helps you identify and fully outline your legacy project in four weeks. The Build is the flagship 12-week program that takes it through to a finished, published piece of IP, with biweekly group sessions, biweekly 1:1s, a private community and a resource library.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes. For the Build, if Think Legacy isn't the right fit after the first four weeks, the remaining $6,000 of the Build is refunded.
What will I actually create?
A named, finished piece of published IP. That might be a book, an online course, a signature framework or a keynote, or something else. Part of the work is deciding which one fits you.
Do I need to have written or published before?
No. You need real experience and something to say. We'll work out the rest together.
Do I need to already have an idea?
No. You need experience and something you're curious or passionate enough about to explore. Many experienced creatives have accumulated years of useful thinking without ever organizing it into a coherent body of work. That's part of what Think Legacy is designed to help you uncover.
Who leads the program?
Robert Smith RGD, CDP is a creative director, agency owner, professor, coach and author of three books on creative practice. He has 30+ years in the industry and over 20 years of teaching experience.
What if I’m not sure I’m ready?
That's exactly what the application process is for. Think Legacy is a serious investment, and Robert wants to make sure the program is right for you before you commit. You'll have an opportunity to talk through what you're thinking about, where you are in your career, and what you'd like to build. No pressure. No hard sell. If it's not a fit, he'll tell you.
How do I start Think Legacy?
Start by submitting an application. Robert will review your application and, if it looks like there could be a fit, you'll have a conversation about your experience, your goals, and what you want to build. Think Legacy is intentionally selective because the quality of the group matters.
